Simon Test

Many years ago, Nicole kindly scanned almost all of my Simon cartoon strips. That captured the images digitally, but I’ve been waiting for the right technology to manage the comments I want to build around them and view them over the web. I think iPhoto and its ability to export to web pages may be the way to go.

Does this test of one week’s worth of Simon’s work as a way to read them? There is a bonus Saturday issue in this series.

  1. I remember reading some of those. I think the Calvin Klein kilt strip may have been done while we were up there visiting even. I think it is a good format, but the full-size images take a while to show up on the screen. I don’t know that you can worry too much about diallers like me since we are in the minority.

Mom and Dad had a subscription to The Observer just so that we could read your comic strips. Some days we would get 3 or 4 Observers. I think it was amazing you were able to do a daily strip like that.

  2. That’s pretty cool, Jeb. You were six years ahead of me on the college comic strip thing, but mine was only printed every other week. I have no idea how you managed to do a daily while going to school.

Shortly after Jennifer and I got married I was determined to get a strip syndicated, but after coming up with a few weeks worth of strips I realized I just wasn’t that funny. So I went into management.
