Thanks for the lists! Really appreciate you taking the time to do this! Bridget |
Yesterday I did a search for, “Is using a past wordle words list cheating.” Answers were mixed on Reddit, with about 1/3 saying “yes,” 1/3 saying “no,” and 1/3 saying that if you’re not competing with anyone else, you can define the rules. I had been proudly beating Wordlebot since I started checking the list, and now I’m not so proud, and this morning I considered quitting the game. I had turned it into a competition with Wordlebot and the average NYT user, but since many of them don’t use the list (and many, I imagine, use other tools as well), the competition for lowest number of turns over the last two weeks, which I enjoyed, is no longer meaningful. I wish that Wordle-makers either: |
Love it! Thank you for putting this resource together! |
Beautiful, well designed website. Great tool. |
Thank you for the helpful list |
Thanks from AC in Tifton. Carry on! |

You’re doing a great job! I hope there are enough non-cheap skates out there that can provide you with a bit of a revenue stream. ([email protected]) |
Love your list!! Keep up the great work! |
Thanks! |
I used to use Rock, Paper, Shotgun, then I discovered your site and definitely like the layout and functionality better |
I do appreciate your service, I’ve shared the site on Mastodon and Spoutible (user name ‘susan’) and among my brothers (with whom Wordle results are exchanged back and forth) |
Thank you !!!!! I am almost to level 100 on Unlimited practice Scrabble. I have used FirstWord a lot, and make cards with a couple-three hundred start words I’ve used. I find the Rankings ever so helpful; also the numerical score for each letter –and each letter, in a specific spot ! Lorelei |
Thank you for curating this list. I was doing it myself for a while but it was challenging. |
I’m thrilled you do this, because why use a burned word?! |
Very glad you don’t have spoilers. I was mad at my first couple of tries at other sites because they did spoil the Wordle for me. |
For the vertical list, when you pop out and then return, it always goes back to the beginning. Is there a way for it to remain at the point you left? Also, thank you for this!! |
did not notice link to the block list until a couple months ago, it is now my first choice |
I found an error on the list a long time ago but found no way to contact you about it. Now I don’t remember what it was. |
Thank you for a clear and simple ‘memory aid’, and the answers for the days I didn’t wordle! |
Huge help, not cheating. |
The list has improved my score. It does exactly what it’s intended to do! Thanks! |
Amazing list! I do believe that there should be a search option to not have to scroll through every block / word! |
I rely on this. Thank you!! |
This site is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! |
No real feedback. The list serves its purpose for me as is. |
Thank you! |
Thank you! |
As the game goes on, I like being able to know that I’m guessing a possible solution and not just fishing for letters! I love your list, that you keep it up to date! I like the block format cause it quicker to get to starting letter of words. So glad I found your site! Thank you and have a great day! . |
Will you continue to update daily list? Judy (Jeb answers: YES!) |
Thank you for the list! |
Love this tool you provide! Was tracking it manually when I first started doing Wordle, then came across your list and it was, well, a game changer due to its accessibility and reliable updates. Thank you!! |
My wife and I print (occasionally ) and use your list daily to have a big advantage over my cousin and her husband in our 90 day Wordle challenges. We keep getting better because of your help! |
Mr. Jeb, I love your Past Wordle List!! Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into creating and maintaining the list! ~Ann |
I started a list of my own used words prior to finding yours but since I only recently started playing Wordle it was only from “DONOR #359. To have all the words from the beginning is great. It makes such a difference to know those that have already been used. Thank you. |
I was using a different list before yours, but kept noticing errors. You are always spot on. Thank you! Trish |
Thanks for providing the daily past wordle words website! |
Grateful for your list, thank you! |

Super helpful tool. Thank you, Tim |
I’m so grateful for your list! I definitely have a better track record than anyone in my family and I’m sure it’s thanks to this list. I have reduced my average guesses to below 4 and not lost since I started using the list. You’re making the world a better place. 🙂 |
This the easiest one for me to use, no fluff! Simple is the best way to go. I noticed you had some post on reddit promoting the site. Keep up the good work. -Playing Wordle Since #216 |
Thank you so much for providing this valuable list! I would like to think that I am not cheating by using your list. The game purists would probably disagree with me. Thanks, Rita from AZ. |
Thank you so much for doing this!!! |
Thanks for your list |
I don’t do my Wordle without referring to this wonderful tool, even though I’m only competing against myself 🙂. Thank you! |
Awesome tool! |
Thanks so much for your list! I was using Rock Paper Scissors until it accidentally posted a word previously used, that wasn’t previously used. I trust your list is accurate! |
I’ve kept my own list since “Rebus”. Very helpful to avoid unintentionally using a previously used word. I never consult list for start word because goal of my start word is to find/eliminate vowels (and Y)! Great work…thanks. |
I am grateful for the wordle list every day. |
