Kathy's Cow

Over the past several months, the family has watched Kathy's Cow develop from a white canvas to, based on her announcement Friday, a finished painting. Carol put in a request that we post a photo of it here. It will likely get hung in the dining room, which is a fitting place of honor for beef.

She is considering the rear end of a greyhound dog or two chairs on the beach as her next project. I favor the latter.

mom:

Good job, Kathy! That looks just like a cow. I'm proud of you.
Julie

Dan:

The only time I had seen cows in the sea was when Mom and I saw them on the beach in Ireland. Now I've seen one a second time. Good job!

UT:

The nice thing is now that she is done, she can let the cow out of the fishpond.

I like the impressionism touches in the background and how the light hits the cow. If Monet had painted cattle instead of haystacks and water lillies, they might have looked like this.

sista:

That's a nice cow!

Bob says it's "udderly beautiful"
