Kathy’s 10 year class reunion made for a fun but exhausting weekend. The kids stayed and Grandpa’s Friday night (a first!) while Kathy and I went to County Cork. Kathy thought it was strange going to a crowded bar where you know everyone. We actually gathered in the courtyard below County Cork, only going into the bar upstairs for popcorn or bathroom breaks.
I was the only guy there who had a wife and sister in the graduating class. Bob couldn’t make it because his parents were down for a visit.
Kathy and I stayed right up to the end. Then we left with Nancy and Ted and Cam and her boyfriend, John. We all decided to meet over at our pool for a late night jacuzzi dip and swim. Out in the parking lot, Kathy, Nancy, Ted, and I hung around a few minutes trying to figure out what was going on inside a nearby Issuzu Trooper.
I think we finally stumbled into bed around 3 a.m.
Saturday, we picked up the kids and went to a tour and picnic at St. Pius. Danny brought his scooter which he road around in the parking lot. Nicole scored at least 5 baskets inside the gym with her amazing underhand toss.
Kathy was amazed at the new additions to the school, especially the bigger library, the dance studio, the band room, and the very nice theater. Not as many people turned up for the picnic as the night events.
We all dressed up for a night of dancing and yelling (over the loud music) at CAMMERRON at the Shops of Dunwoody. Kathy and I led the dancing with several of the black girls who couldn’t resist getting us all up on the dance floor when “Super Freak” started playing. Kathy had a great time and was the best looking girl there. At one point a bunch of us were up on a row of chairs on the dance floor with the manager encouraging us to get off her chairs.
Sunday was much more relaxing. The four of us joined the Regan’s up at the farm for a day of just sitting around a recuperating. Ted and I went shopping at the Levi’s outlet in Gainesville.
