Kelly and Jessica got one of the highest grades in their class for this video parable about a selfish bird that gets a second chance to help others with their problems. Madison and Claire both played key roles.
What I like about this video is how Kelly and Claire have applied many of the things they’ve learned using a video camera and iMovie. The fast talking hummingbird interacting with the regular talking ostrich is well done. The stop-motion intro credits are very clever. Nice use of slow motion and backwards time. Even a good sound track! 5 Stars! (And an A.)
I finally got to see this last week. I really like the hummingbird! I didn’t quite catch when the backwards time travel started going forwards again though.
I thought the girls did real well. The shot of the suicide was very clever.
At a work dinner tonight, I got Dad’s comment about the girls doing well and the clever suicide via e-mail on my BlackBerry. I showed the comment to a few at the table who cracked up (having no context) at such a bizarre comment from my Dad.
It as clever, because Madison was afraid to jump, so Mary Claire said she would do it. You can see MCC’s red costume as she hides under the white billows. Stunt double.
