We need help naming the Geocache we are going to hide on Tybee Island in Dad’s honor. We already have the ammo box (dark green) and have painted on the sides:

Dad has filled it up with Civil War souvenirs including belt buckles, dollars, and uniform buttons. However, the contents of a cache turnover as people take things out and put things back in. We could tape photos or something on the inside lid and decorate the log with a Civil War theme to help maintain the theme. And I think we should hide the cache near the old fort at the lighthouse.
Dad suggested a name with C.S.A. (Confederate States of America.)
Kathy suggested something with Smut in it…. “Smut’s Revenge.”
I was thinking about taping a photo of the cigar boys from Anna Maria Island and calling it “Smut’s Rough Riders” or maybe “Smut’s War Chest.”
Ideas on what we can name the cache? I want to set it up before we go down so that I know it is ready to go. Please post a comment.
Chest (or Cache) of Southern Artifacts?
Coastal Savannah Archive?
Some kind of play on general names like: This cache was put here by Stuart Lee Jackson who is a big civil war buff. Or Robert, Edward, and Lee’s cache (though smut brethren Robert and Edward might think that means it belongs to them).
Or something with “Cache” and “in”. Any other caches we ever do could always start with “Cache in”.
Smut’s C.S.A Cache??
Wait!! If we put smut they might think naked stuff is in there!
Grandaddy “Cache”in??
I agree that a name with “Smut” in it might cause unwelcome confusion. Or it might make this the most popular geocache in the world!
I think Smut would be funny to use somehow, and then it can be explained inside the cache on the front page/cover of the paper log. But I really like Ted’s idea about a series, and this one could be “Dan’s Cache In Tybee”. Doesn’t help the Ettensohn’s naming convention, though.
I like “Smut’s Cache In Tybee”
It’s okay that it doesn’t say Ettensohn. I’m Carol Cashin Ettensohn, Andrew’s middle name is Cashin. Anyway, it isn’t really Cashin, is it?
It could be Cache in Tybee
While You’re Eatin’ Sunflower Seeds.
Smut’s Cache in Tybee is a very good one.
“Smut” should stay in the name.
I like “CSA Gold” for a title. The picture could be enclosed and titled “Jeb’s Marauders celebrate theft of yankee gold”
How about
“Cache 70”
As in Catch 22
