At church our priest, Father Stewart Wilbert, likes us to say amen as loud as we can. At the ending prayer we had to say more than one amen. On the first one I said it really loud. There were old ladies in front of us, and I looked at them. One of them started laughing. On the second amen she said it louder than I had before and started nudging her friend and laughing. It was SUPER funny!

HOORAY!! I can finally have sweets!! Today we went to Brusters! Mmm-mmm!! The cool sweet icecream made me feel good! I mean I am really happy I can have sweets. This must have been the way Jesus felt. Only it was greater. For all of you who do not know what Lent is, it is a season the Catholics celebrate by giving up something. Jesus had to go all those days in the desert, we give up something to make a sort of sacrifice. I gave up sweets which is very hard. Somehow I survived without sweets. With help from parents, friends, and God you can make it through the largest and smallest things, and that is a fact!
How did it suddenly get so hot? It is so hot I have been doubling my deodorant. I most definitely do not want to get STINKY! I hate the time of B.O.! Yucky! I wish the pool would open sooner! Then it will not be stinky and I will be able to cool off!!
I really want Summer to come. It is warm and school will be out!! I just want to get 5th grade over with. *sigh* I guess I’ll just have to wait.
I had loads of fun with the garden hose today! Mary Claire and I both played in it. I was soaking wet and happy. It was near 80*F!! That is pretty hot compared to the last few days.What is a better way to play in such hot weather?
