Hey Dad, at least your hair doesn’t look like this!

This is better…

Here is a poll!!

If you could change your hair color for a while (I’m talkin like, a week or two here), what color would you change it to? I would probably make mine a darker brown.

Banged Up

On Sunday me, Dad, and Claire went to church with Nicole in Athens. Afterwards we were dropped off at Uncle Grant and Aunt Jami’s to spend the night. Fiona was excited because we were there to spend the night with her and the next day we would go to the park and sports time with her. The next day at the park, Fiona was swinging on these bars when she his her cheek and has a red spot there now. She got over it pretty quickly. Later, Michael was crawling down a slide when he suddenly face planted and his legs swung over his head. He was a bruise under his eye, but he got over it pretty quickly too. Is this family getting all banged up now or what? Uncle Ted, you better be on the look out for Cleo and Katie because next week is your turn.

Rainy Easter

Easter was pretty different this year. For one thing, we went shopping for Easter outfits the day before Easter. Then, Danny wasn’t there in the morning to look for his basket. Which actually isn’t that different because he wakes up so late, but he didn’t get a basket at all. Which was too bad because his is the hardest to find, and we like to watch him look for it. Well, nicole and Danny arrived in time to go to church. We got there REALLY early and got to see a baby be baptized at mass. I have never seen a baptism before, so that was a treat i guess. when we drove to Grammalie and Grandaddy’s house it was pouring down, so we were wondering about what we would do about the easter egg hunt. This year we did not make a bunny cake but an adorable little easter basket cake. We did miss the Ettenshins this year at the Easter egg hunt. We wound up having it inside and on the screened in porch. Well, one thing was definitely the same this year. You guys can probably guess who got the silver dollar. Better not tell David if he doesn’t already know. Next event was dinner. It was kinda funny to me that we had a St. Patty’s dinner on easter. Not that I did not enjoy it, the food was delicious. We had dessert and the evening went on with the adults talking and Claire and I entertaining ourselves with Michael and Fiona. Then we all left and that concluded the our rainy Easter.

The Hideous Sisters

Who are these 2 hideous people? I think we can all see who is the better looking one, but I am just not going to say anything. Well, you can certainly tell those two are related by their extreme ugliness. Must run in the family…

Woah! Is that their dad? That might explain something…

Geminids and then Some

We went out tonight for a few minutes. That is Danny, Claire, and I. We were looking for the meteors. There wasn’t much, but the stars looked beautiful tonight. The sky was perfectly clear. I believe I saw a shooting star. It was quick and small. danny claims to have seen one, but we weren’t out yet. What is interesting to me right now is how every one is so freezing. I have no clue why, but I haven’t felt too cold. I am currently in short sleeves and long pants. That is in the house. Out, I throw on a light jacket. Even in the house everyone is wearing a sweater and a long-sleeve shirt. Must be me being so confused. 7th grade is so hard!! Tomorrow I have to go to school early, we are going to the Alliance Theater to see “A Christmas Carol”. After we will go to Fernbank. I won’t be getting home until 4:45. I think it will be fun, but it is past my bedtime… actually it isn’t right now. I just want to go to bed early so I will not be tired. I could always fall asleep on the charter bus going down. Although, you never know what your friends will do to you when you are asleep. Especially with all the peer-pressure. Well, that’s all. Good Night!

Up in the Mountain, Down in the Creek

Over the long weekend we went up the mountains. I guess it was in North Georgia. We actually walked the beginning of the Appalachian Trail. Which was hardly anything. There were too many complaints to go any farther *cough* Danny *cough*. We stayed in this nice cabin in a peaceful mountain resort place is I guess what you call it. We got to bring the dogs. Claire and I spent a lot of time with the horses. We went to this church that really like visitors.

What I loved, besides God and all living things, was playing in the creek. That was my favorite thing. The water was icy cold and you could feel your bones freeze. After a minute or two, you got used to it. What we did in that creek was something that I feel proud of. We built a dam (or as Claire sats, a D-A-M) out of the rock in the creek. It made about half a foot difference in the deepness of the water. You could tell it made one whole side a lot deeper. That trip was so much fun. And I owe it all to mom, who paid for the trip. I love you mom, and thank you so much. Also, I hope you feel better.

Dolphins in Anna Maria

One of things I am really going to remember about Anna Maria 2004 is seeing the dolphins. I got to see dolphins three times! The time I thought was the coolest was when we saw a mother and its baby. They were flapping their tails (My mom said it was like school, the baby was being taught). I am not really sure how many baby dolphins there were. The mother did it once and the baby did it about 7 times. We swam out to them, but they were gone by the time we got out there. Dolphins are made for speed. The time we got the closest to them we were on that really nice pontoon boat- thanks to Grammalie 🙂 – that we drove around to many places. We drove right next to a booey with a dolphin swimming around it. We think it was trying to get something out of it. I wish I had on my glasses!! I could still see it pretty clear though. That was one of my favorite parts of Anna Maria. I heard there were Manatees out. Too bad we didn’t get to see those!! Maybe next time…

Tasty Umbrellas

My mom and I were watching Claire’s soccer game and it was raining. We were waiting for Dad to pick me up and take me to Grammalie and Grandad’s house. Aunt Patsy was visiting and we were all going to have pizza (Uncle Ted came too). I was looking to see if dad was there and I smooshed my face on the pole.

Mom said “WERE YOU LICKING THE UMBRELLA'”

I replied “o, why would I do that?”

Then she said “You do all sorts of weird things like that”

Later on I stuck my tongue out against my cheek and acted like I was trying to lick it without sticking my tongue out. “MMMM…” I said. ” I can almost taste it!”

Mom started cracking up and that became the joke the day. Although I am not sure why it was so funny…

Party

Sticky cake on loud kid’s faces.

Hats on hair with morsels of chocolate ice cream.

Once sparkling candles are melted and droopy.

From 5 friends to family at Christmas time…

Parties are the best!

Gift lists, surprises, and presents.

Package gift wrap and musical voices.

Loving family, some with crazy present bows in their hair.

From 5 friend to family at Christmas time…

Parties are the best!

Hair Explosion

Yummy pizza and good to drink coke.

Or silver paper and laughing relatives.

Have it one way, another, or even together!

From 5 friends to family at christmas time…

Parties are the best!
