Carol Diary 2021 Jan 23

Jan 23 –

You played tennis today with your neighbor, Denise. She is going through a stressful time.

You have had a pain in your right neck for 3 days. You say it’s a cold in your neck. You are using a massage cushion.

Don had good news about getting his car repaired after being hit from behind. The other person’s insurance will pay for everything including a rental car.

You texted me to ask if I have a pair of gray tights you are missing. I am sure you did not leave them here when you came for Christmas. It made me think of one time last year when you could not find your cell phone. You knew it had to be in the house. Don helped you look and you looked everywhere you could think of. After a long search you found it on the kitchen counter. You were sure it was some kind of divine intervention or trickery.

You found the tights in the dryer. The same thing happens at my house!

We have had a lot of discussion today about planning a retirement trip for Ted. So far we have come up with taking a trip to Kentucky and going to Mammoth Cave in July. Ted wants to take his dogs so we have a choice of 2 houses, not so nice, and not big enough for all of us. We found a second house for Grant’s family and you and Don. We’ll see what happens…

January 18 –

You have been working on getting pictures together of your family and Don’s family for your refrigerator. You finished it and texted a picture of all the different faces with the names and birthdays of each person. You have 36 people to remember because Jillian has her boyfriend in her picture. Pretty soon Danny and Mary will have a baby girl to add to the refrigerator door. You asked for a picture of “David – Isabel” but we don’t have a picture from recent years.

Jan. 15 –

Today is registration day for OLLI classes. You signed up to host 4 classes to avoid being in line for them. The computer program locks up every time there is a registration because everyone is logging in at the same time. You waited until noon and got in. You ended up getting most of the classes you wanted, one on Asia, one on Ancestry, a walking tour of bands from Athens, and I don’t know what else.

You went to see Michael wrestle. It was a tough day for him.
