  1. Happy Easter, Dad. We found where you hid the silver dollars, so we can hold your annual Easter egg hunt. Love, Jeb.

  2. Julie and family, I’m thinking about all of you at this time. Danny was a REALLY neat person. He will certainly be missed.

  3. Julie, I am so very sorry about Danny but reading his obituary it just confirms my knowing him. We grew up together. His mother and my mother were the closest friends. I was in and out of the Cashin house so much in my youth. Danny and I went through grammar school together and high school though he was at Boys Catholic High and I at Mount St. Joseph. I thank God for our friendship and our whole family’s being so close all these years. Unfortunately the last time I think I saw you and Danny was at one of my brother Edward Schweers’s kid’s weddings in Atlanta. I thank God for my friendship with him. God Bless you and your family.

  4. Dear Cashin Family,

Rich and I are so very saddened by Mr. Cashin’s sudden passing. What a wonderful man! I won’t forget the night y’all brought us home from STM after Hello Dolly. I remember thinking just how blessed the Cashin children are to have such loving parents.

May God be with you in this time of sorrow. You are in our hearts and prayers.

  5. Dear Cashin Family…Reading the obituary today only confirmed the Cartmill family’s knowledge that Dan led the life of a committed Christian. He has left you with wonderful memories. What a blessing. All of us send our love to each of you.

  6. To the Cashins, I am so sorry for your loss.

I am proud and grateful to have known Mr. Cashin. He is a great man.

  7. Dear Julie,

I am so sorry to hear of Danny’s death and I hope you’ll accept my sincerest condolences. My favorite memories of Danny was my seventh and eighth grade years when Danny was in fifth and sixth and he and I had an incredible passer-receiver combination in the 110 lb. football league when he was an end and I was quarterback. I’m not sure but I think he was the slowest receiver in the league and I was the QB with the weakest arm.

I always considered him a good friend.

  8. Dear Julie and Family,

This was such a shock to hear of your loss, and especially on this Easter weekend. We will hold you up in our prayers and ask God to give you the strength and comfort necessary to continue to praise Him, despite the tragedy.

    Yours, in His service,

    Michael & Karen Smith

  14. Julie dear, As a best friend of Patsy, I have enjoyed our times together and even more, I have heard so many wonderful stories of you and your Dan. He was and is a very special guy who brought so much love to many people. This is truly a very sad time for you and your loving family. To be with Jesus in Paradise on Good Friday is a true gift from God. I hope to see you when you return to Lakeland.

    In Christ’s love,

  15. Mrs. Cashin, Grant, Ted, Carol, Jeb and the rest of your family,

I am so sorry to hear of your sudden loss. Growing up across the street from you all, I remember your family often and have fond memories of your husband (and father). Mr. Cashin was such a nice man and I know that you all will miss him very much. I know that he is in a Grand place as he now will spend eternal life with God. May God continue to fill your hearts during this difficult time. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

  16. Dear Julie, Jeb, Carol, Ted and Grant.

I was so sorry and shocked to hear about your loss of Dan, the ultimate Father, Grandfather, Brother, Family Man and Friend. He was an idol and mentor to many of us. It seems like only yesterday when we first met in the 60’s in Miami and I first saw that fantastic Dan smile. I enjoyed many good times with Dan, seeing your family grow and will always remember Dan winning the cigar smoking conteats even when it ment burning his lip as it was smoked down to the wrapper. I was very happy to see that Jeb found the hidden silver dollars to keep the Easter Egg Hunt going.

God is proud to have Dan with him now as they both continue to watch over your family.

    Jim
