Father’s Day

Jeb hosted Father’s Day for the Cashin guys on Sunday. Danny was there (until he went to work as manager at the pool), and Jami, Grant, Fiona and Michael, Ted and Susan, and Grandaddy and Gramalie. We had a nice dinner. Jeb cooked hamburgers and chicken on his new grill. Fiona, Michael and Gramalie played in Jeb’s new hammock (new Father’s Day present).

The 4 “children” gave Dan a wonderful new lawn mower for Father’s Day. Thanks to Grant for picking it out and bringing it to the party.

After dinner, Jami, Julie, Fiona and Michael went to the pool. While gone, Kathy, Claire and Kelly returned home from Helen, GA where they visited with Kathy’s dad.

Thanks, Jeb, for hosting!

Daytona 2007

daytona.jpgDan and I went to Mulberry on May 9th. I rode the Greyhound Bus over the Daytona from Lakeland on May 17th. Marilyn picked me up at the Daytona Greyhound station in her Mercedes and Mary Sydney and Diana made me clean my hands while Diana sprayed the leather seat covers before I got in. Oh brother!

We had such a good “girls” trip, just playing lots and lots of mah-jongg, going to our favorite fried shrimp restaurant up in Flagler Beach (Betty’s), and creating some very interesting meals right in the condo. We swam in the pool and walked the beach. The condo is beautiful and we are so fortunate that Marilyn enjoys having us twice a year.

I returned by Greyhound the next Wednesday, and Dan picked me up in the Honda Van (nobody made me clean my hands are the seat covers this time).
