The teeth-tapping is just kind of gross.
I saw a thing about doing sound effects once. It’s an amazing art. To make the noise when someone gets punched hard they take a bunch of really fresh celery and twist it violently in two to get a really good “crunch” sound. But now when I see someone get hit in a movie, it sounds like celery being ripped up.
So now when I hear rain drops, it will seem like people tapping their teeth.
