Ted wrote a birthday poem saying not many words rhyme with Jeb. So I signed a comment “Jeb the Web Reb.”
Mom and Dad (mostly Dad) nicknamed me after General Jeb Stuart of the Confederate Army (the rebels.) So a “reb” was a confederate soldier.
The nickname was only supposed to be a childhood nickname. So Bruthu Grant should take note. He has nicknamed Michael “Lil’ Smut” … just for while he is a kid.

Actually, I am from these parts. I was born in Atlanta and lived here until I was eight. Unfortunately, many of the years between eight and twenty-three were spent in the north so I got a little tainted somewhere along the way.

Jeb, A rebel was also what the British called the American patriots, they also called the Irish patriots rebels. I have always liked the name “Rebel” like in the “Ole Miss Rebels”
