I’m Back!

So sorry to leave my fans for such an extended period of time. I could not connect to the internet. After my technical consultant reviewed my sign-on proceedures, it was determined that my password had been erased. Whew, now that’s all cleared up.

I hope you will all wake up at 5:00am to view Mars.

Loading up on red, yellow, and orange fruits and veggies packs your skin with carotenoids, helping protect you from sunburn, wrinkles, and skin cancer.

Does anyone know where Uncle Ted got his juicer, and if he thinks it was a good buy?

  1. While Mars is the closest to us in 60,000 years, I do not think it will cause skin cancer. Ted’s juicer is a lot of trouble, but he likes it because he doesn’t like to eat vegetables, and this is a way he can adhere to the doctor’s orders. After trying a lot of different things, he settled on carrots. The bottom of his refrigerator is full of carrots.

I’d rather just eat the carrots, but then Kathy keeps us all well fed in a lot of fruits and vegetables. No juicer for me!

  2. I saw Mars last night around 9-11 PM. I could see it when I walked onto my front porch, which faces the East. It sure looked red. Unfortunately my glasses are broken (I am buying an eye glass repair kit today to fix a screw that fell out) so I could only see it clearly by making a small circle with my fingers and holding the circle up to my eye to peek through (now how does that work?!).

  3. I think the reason eyes can’t see well is that the overall shape of the lens isn’t right. But if you block out enough of the lens the light can come through and not be blurred by the light coming through other parts of the lens. That’s my theory anyway. As usual, I have no evidence to back this up.

Now, carrots! I paid about $100 for my juicer at Rich’s (or Macy’s or Sears . . . it was at Northlake). I think it’s pretty good (you can read a full review on my blog) and cheaper than some other juice machines. And raw vegetables are probably better for you than cooked ones. If you want to drink carrot juice on a regular basis this is a good machine to buy. But if not I don’t know why you would need it.
