100 Things to Do

This is another thing that Don sent me. I have been to 10 of these places (I list them at the end; 3 in the top 10) and have seen two more in person but not been inside (Versailles, the Kremlin). Sadly I never went to The Temple of the Emerald Buddah while I was in Thailand and when I was in Beijing I decided to sleep in instead of going with my friends to The Forbidden City that day.

  2. You’ve seen New York’s skyline too, so that would be at least 2. And if Betty Claire saw the Sistine Chapel she probably saw the Colosseum and St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome too, though she’s seen entirely too many of those places already.

  4. Wow. You didn’t go to see the Emerald Buddah though. We saw the Royal Palace and the Temple of Dawn, but not the Emerald Buddah. I don’t know why we didn’t do that one, but we weren’t really in Bangkok for very long. We saw the catfish of Roi Et, but somehow those didn’t make the list.

    1. The previous blog entry was also based on something Don sent to me. He is a friend of mine from Peace Corps. 13 years since I wrote this and I have only added one (Yellowstone), but hope to catch two this year: Castle Neuschwanstein and Prague Old Town. So I went back to look at this list and saw that Mom had been to several of these just in the last couple of years.
